Privacy Policy
The short version: we don't want your data, so we mostly don't collect it.
Last updated: September 20, 2026
FinitePlay LLC ("FinitePlay," "we," "us") builds apps and games that are free to download and use, with no ads, no accounts, and no advertising or cross-app tracking. This policy explains what little information is involved when you visit finiteplay.org or use an official FinitePlay app, and why.
This website
finiteplay.org contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and it does not use cookies. We do not know who visits this site or what you do while you're here.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically processes standard technical information to deliver the site and keep it secure — for example, your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, retained briefly in server logs. We do not have access to build a profile from these logs, and we do not combine them with any other data.
If you email us (for example, at contact@finiteplay.org), we receive whatever you choose to include in that message. We use it only to respond to you and do not add you to any mailing list or share it with third parties.
Our apps
Official FinitePlay apps are built to work offline whenever possible and do not require an account to use. They contain no advertising SDKs and do not track you across apps or websites. No app feature depends on enabling telemetry.
Optional app telemetry
Some FinitePlay apps may offer an optional setting to share privacy-preserving usage statistics and diagnostic reports. Telemetry is off unless you affirmatively choose to enable it. Declining has no effect on the app, and you can change your choice at any time in the app's settings. Turning telemetry off stops future reports.
If enabled, telemetry may include which features or settings are used, app and operating-system versions, a broad device-model category, performance measurements, error codes, crash logs, and stack traces. We use this information only to understand aggregate feature use, improve accessibility and reliability, diagnose errors, and decide what to improve.
Telemetry is designed not to include your name, email address, advertising identifier, precise location, contacts, files, card layouts, deal numbers, saved games, gameplay history, on-device statistics, or text you enter. We do not use telemetry for advertising, marketing, user profiling, or tracking across apps or devices, and we do not sell it.
Telemetry is sent using encrypted connections. Internet infrastructure necessarily processes network information such as an IP address to deliver a report, but we do not include that address in the telemetry dataset or use it to identify or locate you. Raw telemetry is retained for no longer than 90 days. We may retain aggregate counts and statistics after they can no longer be associated with an individual report.
Because FinitePlay apps do not use accounts and telemetry is not tied to your identity, we generally cannot locate a particular anonymous report as belonging to you. You can prevent future collection by disabling telemetry, and clearing the app's data also clears the locally stored consent choice.
Where an app needs a device permission or an internet connection to do its job (for example, to check for updates or to enable an optional feature you choose to use), we explain why in the app itself before you grant it. Any app-specific detail that isn't covered by this general policy will be disclosed in that app's own listing or in-app notice.
We do not sell personal information, and we never will.
Children's privacy
Optional telemetry is designed not to collect personal information, regardless of the user's age, and it is never required to play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through direct correspondence (such as email), contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change — for instance, if a future app needs to handle information differently — we will update this page and, where appropriate, the app itself, before the change takes effect.
